Inconvenient historical truths are swept under the rug...

Inconvenient historical facts are never included in the history books written by the victors of war. History books contain a whitewashed narrative that is complementary to the victors and derogatory to the defeated.

There are two great examples of what I am talking about. These examples put forth truths most of us have never heard of.

I recently became aware of these two events myself. I am only guessing, but I would bet few of us are aware of the atrocities committed by these perpetrators. I certainly heard nothing about Eisenhower’s barbarity in my history classes. What I did learn about the Boer War did not include the extent of the horrors that went on during the period.

What everyone remembers about WWII is the Holocaust that was immortalized and branded into human consciousness through books, movies, newspaper articles and history books. The Nazis are still demonized today for atrocities committed during the war. In fact the terms Nazi and fascist are often used to vilify bad actors in society today. This is a testament to the incredible power of the mainstream media. The media has crafted a narrative that elicits a powerful emotional response. Images of stacked up bodies as the result of executions via gas chambers and other means deeply ingrain mental images of the horrors of the atrocities committed at Auschwitz and other “death camps” scattered around the German Reich. This narrative continues to be pounded into our brains, while at the same time atrocities committed by Dwight D. Eisenhower never get mentioned.

The problem as I see it is trying to discern the truths of narratives written about wars “written by the victors.” Churchill, DE Gaulle, Eisenhower post WWII memoirs make no mention of The Holocaust. How is it that these historical figures would leave out such an important topic from their books? Were they not aware of it? How could they not be? It is well documented that Eisenhower hated Germans. If not for the Holocaust, where then does his hatred come from? Was Eisenhower manipulated by the media propaganda just like the Allied soldiers, to hate the enemy so as to be better equipped mentally to kill German soldiers? We can only speculate. General Eisenhower is no longer with us so we cannot ask him.

It wasn’t until the 1960s that scholars and writers began using the term “Holocaust,” and it took the 1978 TV film Holocaust, starring Meryl Streep, to push it into widespread use. Prior to that the term “Final Solution” was trumpeted as the term used by the Nazis to solve the '“Jewish problem.” But what was meant by the German hierarchy when using the term the Final Solution? Was it genocide of the Jewish people, or was it something else?

As Arthur R. Butz writes in his book The Hoax of the Twentieth Century chapter 7 the plan for “the removal of all Jews from Europe and the demanding of the Island of Madagascar from France as a territory for the reception of the Jews.” The policy is set out in NMT. vol. 13, 243-249. If the Germans wrote about the relocation of Jews and never once mentioned the extermination of Jews, how did we come to believe the German’s planned to exterminate the Jews?

The Ernst Zundel trials in Toronto, Canada may shed some light on the topic. Ernst was tried for spreading misinformation for publishing the pamphlet Did 6 Million Really Die? By Richard E. Harwood. Ernst hired an expert witness for his defense, an expert in execution technology, Fred Leuchter. Leuchter traveled to Auschwitz to determine whether the gas chambers and crematoriums were satisfactory to process so many “death camp” inmates. Leuchter completed his Leuchter Report in 1988 and presented it and his testimony in the trial of Ernst Zundel. His work concluded that it would not have been possible to exterminate so many souls and dispose of their bodies with what he investigated at Auschwitz.

Ernst was acquitted in his first trial. It was rather obvious that the eye-witnesses testifying for the plaintiff were lying, but they were not prosecuted. Michael Hoffman wrote a book on the trial The Great Holocaust Trial first copyrighted in 1985. He also was interviewed by the defendant Ernst Zundel. A link to the interview audio file here.

In conclusion, much if not most of what we read in the history books is a whitewashed narrative designed to put the victors in a good light. Just enough truth is included so as to make the story believable. The details of what is left out is what gives us a veracious account. It is unfortunate that the controlled media does its best to keep true accounts from reaching us. As it relates to the Holocaust, 17 nations have laws on the books against questioning the veracity of the Holocaust. Many have been sent to jail for simply raising the issue. Fortunately there are some courageous souls who dare to raise questions and attempt to get answers to them. Regrettably, free speech is becoming a thing of the past in this age of galloping censorship.
